For the dates from September 24th through October 21st, there is a minimum stay of seven nights due to the IronMan Triathlon. 

For the dates from December 15th through January 15th, there is a five night minimum.

The Kahuna Room is a very reasonably priced accommodation, easily accessible on the first floor. There is a queen bed and a twin bed made up like a couch, but easily converted into a second bed for two people traveling together who each want their own bed. There is a sliding glass door entrance off the driveway as well as a door off the hallway. There is a private bathroom a few steps down the hall. There is a shared community VEGAN kitchen.

We are a vegan community, and we ask that while you stay here, your diet consists of all plant-based foods; fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, nuts, seeds and sprouts.

We are also a NO SMOKING facility; however, we do have a designated smoking area some distance from the main buildings.

We have an age limitation and are happy to accommodate people 18 years and older.

We are a vacation rental guest house, located fifteen minutes northeast of the town of Kailua Kona. We have four unique spaces, all with some with private baths. Our accommodations range from a Queen bed room with a private bath, to two-bedroom suites, and exquisite west facing views of the ocean and sunsets.

There is a salt charged pool, (no chlorine) an ozonated Jacuzzi, and an infrared sauna available for all guests, and property-wide wifi. There is also a 30' diameter dodecahedron we call the Mothership, which you can use for yoga, meditation, or just hanging out. It also has a 70" flat screen TV and a great DVD collection (and subscriptions to Netflix streaming and Amazon Prime).

We respect our guests' privacy and at the same time are happy to interact with them if they need our help in any way, or guidance to various sightseeing locations, beaches, restaurants, etc.

The closest beaches are a 15 minute drive from our door, and are in the boat harbor area. One is a very nice snorkel beach, especially in the morning. The other is a turtle sanctuary with a broad expanse of white sand. One of the top ten beaches on the Big Island is only a 25 minute drive from our door, and that is Kua Bay, about 4 miles north of the airport. We have a supply of snorkels, masks, and boogie boards that you are free to use on a first come, first serve basis.

We provide various healing modalities; massage therapy, meditation, dietary guidelines, etc. We are long-time residents of the Big Island and know many special places that we can direct you to. We strongly encourage renting a car, as these beaches are not within walking distance.

This is an exceptionally beautiful part of the Kona side of the island, it is actually called Kona Heavens! We are in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood and we are the very last house on a dead end road. There are wonderful places to stroll right out of your door, and it is a very safe neighborhood.

There is no public transportation, renting a car is essential for the area that we live, and Costco is the very best source for renting a car. It is worth joining as a member for this single reason.

At 1100', we are a little cooler than downtown, and get more rain, so bring an extra sweater and a poncho/umbrella. There is always sun to be found somewhere on the island, but it may not be right here. A headlamp/flashlight is also a good idea. Bring appropriate footwear, not just flip-flops.
